WHAT WE DO:

Terrey Hills Brigade is located within the heart of Terrey Hills on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. We are surrounded by Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, yet are an ever increasing urban area with several thousand homes and constant new developments being built.

With this mix, Terrey Hills is a dynamic station which attends Bush Fire activities as well as many urban incidents such as Structure Fires and Motor Vehicle Accidents. The station employs both an off road Category 1 4WD Tanker and a specialist Category 11 Urban Appliance, which is unique to the station. This assists the brigade in attending the various levels of Fire Calls and holding one of the fastest response times in the state.

Member training is continually developed through the Nationally Recognised, Service provided courses, as well as brigade training and member development activities held.  

 

WHEN WE FORMED:

Terrey Hills Brigade is one of the oldest in the district, with the Brigade forming in Dec 1942. Since then we have moved from a small equipment shed, to the current station we are in now. Our Brigade is derived by a flow of youth and enthusiasm, supported and guided by older, experienced members. Our support to the community is consistently developing, providing assistance in a number of areas such as fire prevention (Smoke alarms and Evacuation Plans), bush fire awareness and overall Community Education.

REGULAR MEETINGS:

Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 8pm at the station.

 

BRIGADE TRAINING:

Regular training is held on the Fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30pm at the Station.
